The mobile phones change the way of communication and life-style. people can get many other benefits from it such as games, camera, business. Therefore, it can be found that cellphones are used among people of all ages. Hardly can we image that without cellphones, what would the world like? Everything has two sides, people ignore the bad influence on his or her life when people enjoy the convenience and entertainment form the cellphones. The report further discusses how these challenges can be overcome through policies and measures. The policies and prescription would help the country in its growth and development. Economic Challenges The country is under a severe recession since 1930. The country is facing many economic issues such as inflation, high interest rates, unemployment etc. The country saw a rise in inflation to 11.2 percent during the first quarter of the year 2016. The overall inflation was 10 percent in the year 2015. The country has been officially under a recession since 2014. Its increasing inflation rate has led to an economic slowdown. From 2011-14, the economy has acknowledged a slow rise of 2.2 percent every year. The rate is very slow as compared to its neighboring countries. The value of GDP was contracted by 3.8 percent in the year 2015 (Candia, 2016). The country is facing a persisting problem of employment since 2014. Unemployment rate has almost doubled in the year 2016 and has reached a value of 11.2 percent from 5.1 percent in 2014 (Gillespie, 2016). The country has over eleven million unemployed people. The root cause of this rising recession in the country is crashing of the prices of commodities in the year 2015. The countrys fiscal revenues are decreasing and the country has acknowledged huge deficits during the year 2015. In 2015, the deficit was approximately 11 percent of the gross domestic product. In 2014, the countrys budget deficit inclined to the value of 6.75 percent of gross domestic product (The Economist, 2016). The country is going through an economic instability with its growing deficit and debts. The gross debt to gross domestic product ratio reached a value of seventy percent from sixty five percent. The overall economic instability of the country has led to many obstacles in the further development of the country. Brazil has not been able to pay its loans for the past three years. The high interest rate of 14 percent is posing a threat to the country. The banks have reduced the interest rates to encourage the consumers to borrow loan at a subsidized rates. The lending percentage increased from 40 percent to 55 percent in 2010. The high interest rates have spiked inflation which has gone beyond the benchmark limit set by bank. The high unemployment rate has caused the wages to decline and the people are unemployed in the major metropolitan cities. Again, in order to improve the existing situation government took many measures which have again spiked inflation rate which is a major cause in hindering the countrys growth (The Economist, 2016). Political Challenges Brazil is going through a political instability and there are four main political challenges that the country is going through. The first challenge is the involvement of the government officials in the Petrobras scandal. The second challenge is Workers Party. The third challenge is that a legislative issue is being stuck at the hands of few congressmen. The last but not the least challenge is the weak leadership of Dilma which has slowed down the economy of the country. The country is going through a protest by the citizens with over two million people on the roadside. The country has maintained its stability over the years due to the partnership between executive power of PT and PMDB. PMDM gained its power by opposing the key issues which were addressed by the Congress (Sennes, 2015). Dilma Rousseff became President for the second consecutive time in 2014. After the elections she has been facing allegations for playing the government accounts. The allegation has raged the opposition party and forced the people to gather on streets across the country. The issue has led to the political crisis in the country and has revived old political rivalries (BBC News, 2016). Social Challenges Brazil faces a number of social challenges and the country has been working hard to overcome them. Brazil faces the problem of poverty, education, unemployment, violence and crime and health. Poverty: The major of the countrys population is facing the challenge of poverty. There are millions of people living in slums in the country. Around fifty percent of the population does not have access to basic resources which are essential for a living. The poorest people of the country receives a very meager amount of the countrys earning which is even less than 1.2 percent of the nations earning. The country has taken initiatives such as Zero Hunger which has been created with an objective of giving food to the citizens. Bolsa Familia is another government initiative which lessened the inequality in the income by 5 percent (Brazil, 2016). Education: In spite of providing free education to all, the country faces the problem of illiteracy. The main issue is that students do not attend classes because they are burdened with the responsibility of earning at a very young age. Children at the age of 10 become a provider for their families. Apart from that, the institutes are not well equipped with resources. There is a scarcity of teachers, learning resources in the schools which are poorly constructed. Due to this scenario, major populations of the children who are below eighteen are illiterate (Brazil, 2016). Unemployment: Since there is no proper mechanism for providing the education to young children therefore the country faces a severe problem of unemployment. In spite of a number of job vacancies in the country, there are many unemployed people in Brazil. The major population chooses to work as a skilled labor at factories, construction sites etc without any agreement between the two parties. Thus, there is no provision for a permanent employment for these kind of people (Brazil, 2016). Violence and Crime: The country has a very high record of violence and crime. Due to high poverty and illiteracy people are forced to commit crime. The police also has not been able to handle the situation tactfully (Brazil, 2016). Health: The country lacks proper medical system and infrastructure for the people. The financially equipped people have options to go for private medical care but the people with low income areas do not have access to proper medical facilities. The hospitals are overcrowded and do not have adequate medicines for the people (Brazil, 2016). The social challenges hinders the growth of country because when the population of the country would not have access to basic amenities then the country would not acknowledge growth in any sector. Economic Policy Prescriptions In the economic challenges, the report discussed that Brazil is facing a downfall in its economy which is a result of the implementation of unhealthy policies by the government. In this section, the report shall discuss how Brazil can overcome these economic challenges. Brazil needs to administer countercyclical fiscal policy system in order reduce its expenses during the crisis. Fiscal policy plays a vital in contributing to the economic growth of a country. The country needs to establish a vigorous countercyclical public investment budget in order to contribute to the development of the country. This would help to create demand for public investment and increase the work efficiency which would support to minimize the cost of manufacturing (Arestis Terra, 2015). The growing expenses during the time of recession led to the downfall of the economy. In order to come out of this situation, the government should uplift the taxes that are being charged on short termed financial assets. This would help the government by increasing the amount of tax collection and minimize the cost of investment (Leahy, 2015). Brazil needs to abandon Inflation Targeting Model because the countrys inflation is affected by manufacturing cost, changes in exchange rate and the prices which are managed by the government. An increase in interest rate only affects the exchange rate of the country and thus, an Inflation Targeting Model is not a preferable model to provide stability to the countrys economy (Arestis Terra, 2015). The country needs to control its interest rate of the central bank which requires monitoring the short term speculative foreign capital (Leahy, 2015). Political Policy Prescriptions Brazil is facing political instability and requires reforms to improve its political situation. The country is going through a number of scandals and politicians faced with severe allegations. The country needs to create political reforms so as to remove the corruption from the country. The Supreme Court has put a stop to the corporate donations which needs to be implemented in the country. The country should go for district representation as opposed to the current proportional system in which the voters have no knowledge of the candidates background and achievements (Leahy, 2016). The country should ban the coalition formation which provides power to individual parties through an alliance. They form a coalition in order to be able promote themselves more freely and liberally (Leahy, 2016). Thus, in order to become a corruption free nation, Brazil must adopt these changes. Social Policy Prescriptions Social reforms would uplift the country in terms of political and economical growth. They would provide the citizens access to the basic amenities and resources. Also the health of the people would be ensured which would increase the productivity and ultimately economy of the country will grow. Poverty: Poverty needs to be eradicated which would require government support and social reform policies. The countrys government would have to make sure that the people living in poverty have access to basic amenities and sustainable livelihood. Policies should be developed to provide protection to the poor people of the country and alleviate their status. Policies should aim at empowering these people by giving them opportunities to work by giving them access to the required resources. Entrepreneurial opportunities should also be provided to these people so that they can also become self dependent. The country should aim to work with the NGOs and other interested donors to increase their contribution towards poverty eradication (Sustainable Development Knowledge Platform, 2016). Education: The government must ensure that the children attend their schools regularly and do not miss classes. The policies could created that would support education and children once again start attending their classes instead of taking up family responsibility. The government could come with some initiative such as providing basic amenities and resources to the complete family of the students in order to ensure that children attend their schools and the free education is being imparted properly (Sustainable Development Knowledge Platform, 2016). Unemployment: The government needs to create job opportunities for the unemployed people through government schemes. The government can liaison with the third party to provide jobs to the unemployed people (Brazil-US Business Council, 2016). Health: Health camps should be conducted on regular basis so as to provide free check up and medicines to the citizens of the country (Brazil-US Business Council, 2016). Violence and crimes: The crime rate would automatically come down if the poverty is reduced and people have jobs in their hands (Brazil-US Business Council, 2016). The allegations charged on the countrys president have created a political instability in the country and the government decision to stabilize the economy has worsened the situation. The poem does not have a rhyming scheme but the words are in harmony with each other. Moreover, the way each stanza was developed is consistent with the previous and the next. The story is illustrated well by the actors and you could also feel like going back in time together with the people who have been documenting these stories.I think it is educational and must be required in high school to watch the episodes in their world history class. The stories that’d been shown in the first episode are mostly discussed in my world history class during my high school years. With the illustration, it is easier for the students to understand what really happened at that time and it will surely remain in our min d just like a favorite movie that we once watched. The documentary started from when we were cavemen. We wandered around, looked for place to live and basic needs to survive. We can see from just that scene that men were created intelligent. It is amazing how people managed to build such a gigantic architect during those times and without any help of our modern technology. Everything was calculated precisely. And writing was the biggest factor that has helped them in building those.I still wonder how and where they got the 2 million blocks for building the pyramid. And to t hink many people have sacrificed in making both of the architectural structure for 20 years for Pyramid and 118 years for the Great Wall of China (if I remembered correctly), it is really amazing. I don’t know if it’s still possible for modern men to build anything that is as amazing without the help of any machinery. Because of the high technological inventions, people have become more dependent and lazy. Even if there’re going to be an amazing new architect, I wouldn’t be as amazed as I do for those old architectural structure.But it doesn’t mean that the development and advancement in technology is bad. I think it is also important to appreciate the hard work that had been exerted by the men who have sacrificed their life in building it. The documentary has become a great reminder and a lesson to me. I would recommend other people to watch these episodes for it might change us in the way we see life in a positive ways. I hope there will be more great invention and not all those useless inventions made by idle scientists. People really should get a good example from the men in golden times. Researchers and teachers of second languages realized that most of their students were able to ask questions from foreigners but were not able to understand what they had answered. It is one of the various good reasons for teaching reading/listening. Students may actually need to read/listen for their work or study, or they want to read/listen for pleasure. In each case, the process needs to be as easy as possible for them. Exercises focusing on the receptive skills allow the study and practice of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and punctuation, and the reading/listening can provoke conversation and discussion. At first, the teachers main task is to get familiar with the different types of reading and listening activities. In case of reading there are: skimming, scanning, receptive/intensive reading and extensive reading. In the followings I would like to present them separately. Skimming means when students are examining a text rapidly with occasional periods of close inspection, i. e. , quickly running their eyes over the text to get the general idea. In the case of scanning students are locating a specific symbol or group of symbols (e. g. : a date or a name of a person or place). So, students are quickly searching for some particular pieces of information. Receptive/intensive reading means a careful reading aimed to discover exactly what the author seeks to convey; often reading for information; readers need to understand linguistic and semantic detail and pay attention to the text. At last, we speak about extensive reading when readers read for pleasure; readers need to understand all details of the text; speed and skill in getting the general idea are most important (Knutson 1998). The teachers also have to know the students background knowledge, including their experience with the topic, their level of English and the new vocabulary that should be presented. The teacher also has to examine the text, I mean whether it is organized in a clear way or not. He/she has to know the length and the quality of the text. As Brewster (1991; p. 6) points out, Their attention span is limited. Therefore, tasks should be short, varied, motivating and interesting and should offer concrete perceptual support. When all the above mentioned aspects are clear for the teacher, he/she can start the lesson, which is concentrating on the receptive skills. That can be done by making the students start to talk about the topic or tell their opinion separately and loudly to the class. The teachers can also ask questions related to the topic in order to encourage a whole class talking (Holli et al. 1996). If you are having a reading/listening lesson, you should work on four different stages, namely: Before reading/listening, during reading/listening, after reading/listening, feedback and guidance. The first one is the stage before learners actually read to listen to the text. The function of this stage is to prepare learners to engage in the text, try to do this as effectively as possible, because it is very important to motivate the students for reading/listening the text. At this stage before reading and listening they will have already formed an idea about the content and type of the text. It is also the time when new vocabulary should be presented and the worksheets should be given out to the students. The teacher has to tell them clearly what there task is. While the students are listening or reading the teacher should circulate among them in order to see how well they are moving on and help them if it is necessary. Then, when the text had been listened or read the teacher should check whether they were able to complete the exercise or not. If it was not enough to listen to or read the text once, he/she lets them do it again. Sometimes I ask them not to write anything on their handouts at the first listening/reading, just pay attention to the text carefully. On the feedback stage the teacher together with the students corrects the handouts. True or false statements are popular ways of checking comprehension, and I think that students also like doing these activities. Every course book includes such activities. My favourite reading exercise is mosaic reading, all the students like it, too. I found this exercise in the book, Mi g 135 i tlet. In this activity students are given different paragraphs of a story. I often give out tales that are cut into pieces (e. g. : Snow White). Students read their extract and choose the main happening of it. While they are reading I am walking in the class and help them if there is an unknown word or phrase. They write a statement, and two questions related to their extract. For instance: We are in a little house where everything is so tiny. Why? Who are living here? When the students are ready they ask their questions and the others are checking their extracts to find the answer. If somebody fins it he/she will tell the class. With the help of these questions and answers the students will be able to build up and take into a chronological order the whole story (Gedeon et al. 2002). The students favourite listening exercise is of course when we listen to pop songs. I try to make this more enjoyable by asking them at the end of a lesson to write down their favourite song on a sheet. Then, I collect them and choose one of them. On the next lesson we will listen to that song. I give out the lyric of the song with some missing words; while they are listening they have to complete the gaps. When we have the complete lyric, they translate it to get the general idea of the song. I use the Internet to find the lyrics of the songs. This study aimed to find ways with which the receptive skills of the students can be improved. The most important a teacher should do is to make the students realize what a wonderful thing it is when we are able to understand a foreign language and read a newspaper that is not written in our native language. Beginning with an examination of The Voice Essay Beginning with an examination of The Voice, consider some of the ways in which Hardy gives poetic expression to his personal grief.  Throughout much of Hardys poetry there are various different connotations of grief presented, whether it is grievance for his late wife Emma or the diverse accounts of war that are shown. The poetic expressions of these poems provoke emotion to the reader and help them to relate to Hardys personal grief in some way. One of the poems where this effect is apparent is The Voice. The extended metaphor of the wind has taken the naturalistic entity of the wind and changed it into Emmas voice haunting him and thus personifying it to be Emma. The wind also creates an idea of Hardys longing for her to return to him, this is portrayed by the way Hardy creates the effect of an echo, call to me, call to me not only does the repetition demonstrate an echo it also helps the reader to grasp the fact that Hardy feels hopeless in his searching for Emma, as whatever he does he will not be able to retrieve her. This poetic expression of the wind is displayed with various free and loose punctuation to create the idea of Emma being now free and changeable, like the wind itself, you had changed from the one who was all to me she is now illusive and cannot be seen, causing Hardys grief to increase as it is shown in the poem that he will not be able to see her again. The way in which the poem is written shows an obvious regret, this was that Hardy took what he had with Emma whilst she was alive for granted and now she is no longer around her loss has reawakened his romance with her and he now sees her as he did when they first met, which he knows, is now too late. He sees he in the air-blue gown that he did when he first met her, however, this also has another meaning, of how Emma is now all around and immortal, however, even though she is all around the grief of the situation is that Hardy can never see her. Knowing this, Hardy goes on to say that he will continue faltering forward as he knows that Emma is being ever dissolved, like the wind, her spirit is fading away. Comparing Emma with the wind shows how Hardy feels and how he senses that she is fading away from him, enhancing his grief and heartache. Throughout The Voice the poetic expression of nature haunting Hardy as though Emma has turned into the wind and has turned into the woman calling, creating the sense of insistence, that perhaps Emma wants Hardy to continue his search for her memory. The metaphor the wind presents shows that it has a hold over Hardy and also the power to move him, this emphasises his personal grief as he shows is helplessness due to the fact that no matter how hard he tried to recapture Emmas memory, he will never get her back. Similarly to The Voice, Beeny Cliff also mourns Emmas loss and shows Hardys personal grief over this fact. However in this poem it seems apparent that Hardy reluctantly accepts that Emma has gone and however hard he tries to reconnect to her, this wish will never come true. The poem itself begins with a regretful yearning tone that continues throughout, O the opal and sapphire of that wandering western sea the opening to the poem of O creates a yearning emotion that sets a theme for the rest of the poem, it is made very obvious that Hardy misses Emmas presence and the description of the precious stones, opal and sapphire reflect upon Hardys precious memories of his wife, however memories are all he has, which shows the grief given through his poetic expression as all he has left of Emma are his memories. He then continues to show his regret, the woman whom I loved so, and who loyally loved me this perhaps shows Hardys regret towards not showing Emma his true feelings towards her whilst she was alive, and also how he felt that she loyally loved him, yet he did not show the same loyalty.  Throughout the first three stanzas of the poem, it seems as thought Hardy is trying to elicit the emotion of memory so that he can bring back the happiness he felt when he was with Emma at Beeny Cliff. He uses various poetic expressions, for example, describing the scene to encapsulate the beauty of that day as to them both at the time it was idyllic, the waves seemed far away this however doesnt just help the reader understand the way the scene appeared, but also the atmosphere itself. It seemed as though their love for each other transported them so they were unaware of the world around them. The grief that Hardy now feels causes the day he is describing to become even more tragic as it seems he will never be that happy again. After Hardy has tried to recapture Emmas memory and realises that it will not work as no matter how much he tries to remember that day and how much he retells his feelings and regrets about Emma the memories of her will never bring her back to him. It is after this realisation that Hardy moves on to speak about how Emma has in fact gone from his life, and he knows this and describes a divide between them now, using the metaphor of the cliff itself, bulks old Beeny to the sky shows how there is barrier between the two. The description of the cliffs chasmal, which are the splits in the rocks are perhaps metaphorical to Hardy and Emmas relationship as it is now, and the barrier between life and death that forever puzzles Hardy. From this point on there is obvious wistful regret that Hardy will never be back at that place of beauty with Emma, however he then realises that all Beeny is, is a cliff and that no matter how much Hardy tries to reawaken that day there with Emma it will not bring her back. Hardys grief and heartache is apparent as he is tired of wondering where Emma is then therefore no longer questions this, and merely accepts that the woman is- elsewhere- the poetic expression of this phrase shows Hardys pause whilst he is thinking about where Emma actually is, and it also creates the idea that he doesnt know where she is but he does know he can never find her, illuminating his grief as he has now accepted the fact that he will never find Emma anywhere, even where he feels her memory is at its strongest. The ending of this poem also reflects how Hardy feels, as Emma nor knows, nor cares for Beeny, and will laugh there nevermore. Hardys grief is again emphasised as he will never recapture Emma as she is now completely indifferent to the word and her life with Hardy, and this allows him to finally accept that Emma is gone and finished, it is almost as though this revelation has given Hardy a sense of finality to his situation. In conclusion, Hardy uses many different ways to give poetic expression to his personal grief, ranging from personifying nature to represent Emma to finally allowing himself to believe that she is gone, and knowing that all he now has are his memories, and that no matter how hard he tries, they will never bring Emma back, which Hardy has finally accepted, no matter how much grief and anguish it may have caused him.

Martin Luther King also brings up God when he states â€Å"Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God’s children† He is making it an allusion by bring up God and stating that that is what God would want. That the children would want to be recognized as equal because that’s how God made them, no matter the color of their skin they are all equal. On the other hand, George Orwell uses a lot more themes such as imperlisim and conqueror or conquering. These two themes are shown in the writing â€Å"Shooting An Elephant† in where he wants to fit in to a society where the only way to conquer that is to shoot an insane elephant that escaped, as much as he didn’t want to do it due his values and morals he did it to look good in front of the village and the citizens. He kept repeating the word â€Å"mus t† as if he was being forced by the people just for him to fit in. In the writing â€Å"How the Poor Die† Orwell uses plenty of detail when he describes the room, the people, and the treatments they practice on them. For example, the way he described the room was â€Å"..Ill-lit room, full of murmuring voiced with three rows of beds surprisingly close together. There was a foul smell, faecal and yet sweetish†. He described the people not by names but by numbers as they did at the hospital that sounded more like a practice lab in which the doctor and students examined the patients to see what was wrong, the people with the worst and rare illnesses got the most attention because those were the most interesting cases. The people with common cases were left in abundance to die without treatment of attention. As you may noticed both men use different methods but you also have to keep in mind that the writings are used with two different perspectives and purposes. Martin Luther King gives a much deeper emotional and touching tone and feeling because he was actually living it at the moment the speech was given, he saw how the African American people were being treated hoe they were segregated and treated unequal to the rest of society. Therefore, the speech gives the reader a totally different feel. George Orwell writes with more detail but also with the purpose of entertaining the reader. With the writing â€Å"How the Poor Die† he definitely conquered the purpose of entertaining because he kept the reader attached to the reading with the detailing yet very unique writing. He lets his imagination run which makes the readers keep reading because he uses such creative stories that no reader could even imagine in reading. Both men write different, although they were written about thirteen years ago, they were both written with different purposes. One to entertain and the other to inform, Martin Luther King makes the readers and audience comprehend how they are aware of the treatment given and how the nation has not kept its promise about all men being created equal. While Orwell uses his creative mind to form short novels that make him as a person a lot more interesting and adds spice to his work.
